Privacy Policy

1. Who we are — This website is operated by WORLD ON A WIRE AGENCY PTE. LTD. ("we", "us"), 10 Anson Road, #22-02 International Plaza, Singapore 079903, UEN 202120854M, on behalf of the artist Shir Khan. We process personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"). Data Protection Officer: Jan Simon Spielberger, worldonawireagency<at>dpoguard.com, +65 3158 1836.
2. Personal data we collect — (a) Newsletter: if you subscribe, we collect your email address, name and city. Your city helps us tell you about shows near you. (b) Contact and booking emails: if you email us, we process your name, email address and the content of your message to reply to you. (c) Technical data: when you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, the pages visited and timestamps, to deliver the website securely and to produce aggregated visitor statistics.
3. Purposes — We use your personal data only to send you the newsletter you asked for (news about mixes, releases, radio shows, live dates and related Exploited / World On A Wire projects); to answer your enquiries and handle booking requests; and to operate, secure and improve this website.
4. Consent and withdrawal — We send the newsletter only with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box and confirming your subscription via the confirmation email (double opt-in). You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to the Data Protection Officer. After withdrawal we stop sending newsletters and delete your newsletter data, unless we must keep it by law.
5. Service providers, embedded content and cross-border transfers — We use the following providers, which may process data outside Singapore: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) for newsletter sending and subscriber management; Lovable and its hosting partners (including Cloudflare) for website hosting and delivery. The SoundCloud player in the DJ-Mixes section is embedded directly: when the page is opened, your browser connects to SoundCloud (SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Germany), which may receive your IP address and usage data and may set cookies under its own privacy policy. The Apple Music and YouTube players are not loaded when you open the website; each shows a placeholder and only connects to its provider after you click it (YouTube is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com). From that moment the provider may receive your IP address and usage data and may set cookies under its own privacy policy. Release and mix lists are read by our server from a public data file on GitHub; your browser does not connect to GitHub. Cover images and video thumbnails are delivered through our own server, so viewing them does not contact Apple, Bandcamp or Google. Show dates are retrieved by our server from Bandsintown; your browser does not connect to Bandsintown unless you follow a link. Links to other platforms (for example Instagram, Spotify, Beatport) only transfer data when you follow them. Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, for example through contractual safeguards.
6. Cookies and local storage — This website itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not load analytics scripts from third parties. If you tick "Always load … players" next to an embedded player, your browser stores this single preference locally (localStorage) so that players from that provider load directly on your next visit. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. Embedded third-party players may set their own cookies once you have chosen to load them.
7. Retention — Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up, and thereafter only where required by law.
8. Protection — We protect personal data with reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures, including restricted access and two-factor authentication on the services we use. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
9. Your rights — Under the PDPA you may request access to and correction of your personal data and withdraw your consent. Send your request to the Data Protection Officer. We aim to respond within 30 days.
10. Minors — The newsletter is intended for people aged 18 and over.
11. Changes — We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page.
